Africa Asia Venture is for motivated students and graduates of 18-24, who want to spend 3-5 months teaching a wide variety of subjects, especially English, and sports coaching in Africa (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi) Mexico, Thailand, Nepal, and the Indian Himalayas.
Comprehensive training in TEFL, relevant local languages, religion, history/culture & customs is provided, plus accommodation, food and a local living allowance. Excellent community and conservation projects are available for the same periods in Uganda and Kenya.
A 3-week period of travel is included in all our Ventures and a safari is part of the scheme.
Alternatively, shorter Ventures of 5 weeks that include building projects,
adventure and safaris are also available in Thailand, Kenya and Uganda for
18-25 year olds.

Job Title : Assistant Volunteer Teacher/Sports Coach
Location : Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Mexico, Thailand, India & Nepal
Duration : 4-5 months (departs January, April & September)
Summary : 4 days' Induction, 3-4 months' teaching/sports coaching, 3 weeks'
travel, 6 days' safari
Role : Teaching/sports coaching in primary/secondary schools in rural and semi-rural
locations. Placed in pairs, fours (sometimes sixes) in a house near your school
and other volunteers so weekends can be spent exploring your host country.
Job Title : Community/Conservation Assistant
Location : Uganda
Duration : 4 months (departs February, May & October)
Summary : 4 days' Induction, 3-4 months' project work, 3 weeks' travel, 6 days'
safari
Role : Living and working with village communities in rural locations and helping
in conservation on River Nile in Uganda. Placed with other volunteers so weekends
can be spent exploring Kenya/Uganda.
[AV Adventures]
Location : Thailand, Kenya, or Kenya & Uganda
Duration : 5 weeks (departs year round but mainly June, July & August)
Summary : One days' Induction, 3 weeks' project work, 2 weeks' travel & safari/adventure
Role : Group of up to 16 participate in project work and a variety of adventures
in Thailand or East Africa. Project work helping to construct or maintain poor
rural schools. Followed by a selected variety of safaris and adventurous activities
in Thailand, Kenya and/or Uganda.
