NEOMA Business School has announced the launch of a new 12-month, full-time MBA programme to be taught entirely in English at its campus in Paris. Starting in September 2014, the new MBA is aimed at young professionals with at least a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years work experience.
For those looking for an intensive, high-level managerial training, the NEOMA MBA will deliver a global, strategic and transversal vision of business for participants to develop the skills and attitudes necessary for an exceptional career. The NEOMA MBA builds on the expertise that the two founding schools – Rouen Business School and Reims Management School – have developed over 40 years in MBA education.
Four major phases of teaching with a specialization
"The aim of our MBA is to prepare participants to anticipate and deal with the current and future challenges faced by businesses and organizations," said Raymond Ouellet, Director of the MBA at NEOMA Business School. "The key issues will be addressed, namely those of optimization, expansion and break-up at a time when new models must be invented."
Led by the school’s highly qualified faculty, the new programme will focus on four phases:
• The diagnostic phase
• The optimization phase
• The phase of international development
• The phase of value creation.
It will conclude with a specialization in a "profession" or an "industry" according to the participant’s post-MBA career aspirations. Several options are available: Finance, Marketing, Management, Logistics, Luxury and Digital Technology.
A "learning by doing" approach
The programme will be punctuated by several real-world experiences. A course, "Out of Your Comfort Zone", will be organized in collaboration with the French Air Force to test participant’s decision-making ability and their emotional stability in crisis. "By taking participants out their usual surroundings and throwing them in at the deep end, they will gain insight into their leadership skills, which are an essential aspect of being a member or leader of a team," said Raymond Ouellet.
Participants will also be mobilized throughout the year, in groups of five, for the "International Consulting Project". This mission will be carried out at a company currently experiencing the challenges of international development. "Participants will evolve in a context where the company holds a prominent place and where concrete problems are the basis for learning," said Raymond Ouellet. These missions will be accompanied by a customised "Global Study Tour" that candidates have to organize in a target country.
Participants looking to know more about entrepreneurship can opt for the "Entrepreneurial Development Project", in which they will work on creating their own business plan.
25% of the programme to be focused on personal development
Each educational phase of the NEOMA MBA will be punctuated by "Individual Transfer" sessions, during which the key skills covered will be applied individually to each participant’s profile. "Theoretical learning is essential, but for it to be perfectly assimilated, it must be put in perspective with the participant’s behavior, experience and ambitions," said Raymond Ouellet.
Several major events will also be organized by the "Careers" service with a personal coach to support the coherent professional development of graduates.
