The Innovact Campus Awards 2013 – the annual competition for start-ups and young entrepreneurs – is underway! Students and young researchers from Europe are invited to submit their projects to the 11th edition of the competition, organized by the Reims-Epernay CCI and supported by the European Commission. The winners will receive a financial reward of up to €5000, plus expert advice and visibility for their project throughout Europe. They will also benefit from a stand at the Innovact Forum, to be held March 26-27, 2013 in Reims, France. Entrants can be from any European country and projects may be submitted by individuals or groups from any field. The deadline for submissions is January 28, 2013.

Innovact Campus Awards: a European event at the heart of the Innovact Forum
In the last 11 years, the Innovact Campus Awards have received thousands of applications from candidates from every corner of Europe. The competition is open to students and young researchers whether as part of their studies or not. The projects, regardless of the product or activity, may be submitted while still in the design phase, under development or even already launched.

The finalists will be invited to participate for free at the 17th edition of Innovact, the European Forum for Innovative Start-ups in Reims. At the forum, the jury – made up of European CEOs, journalists and scientists – will meet the selected finalists at their presentation stands and proceed to select the three most promising and innovative projects.

In 2011, 160 projects from 28 European countries were submitted, with 42 chosen finalists. The winning projects were VisionRE™, presented by John Kieran O’Callaghan, of the Cork Institute of Technology (Ireland), WEBSHELL, presented by Arnault Thibaud, of EPITA and MRS presented by Salvatore Modeo, of the Université de Salento (Itay). A special mention was awarded to ULYSSE, presented by Jean-Mathieu Ivorra-Micaelli, Manoël Grand and Martin Christolomme of the Institut d’optique (France).
