May 2012. Reims Management School (RMS) in France is launching a track in Finance on its International MBA (IMBA) programme that will allow participants to prepare Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) examination.
Participants joining the RMS IMBA programme in September 2012 will have the chance to sign up for three new electives running from February to June 2013.
Totalling 135 hours of instruction, the courses will cover Ethics, Quants, Financial Reporting Analysis, Economics, Asset Valuation, Corporate Finance, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Alternative Investments and Portfolio Management. It is completed by a study tour in New York at the prestigious Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, CUNY.
"I think this pioneering initiative will be very attractive for executives who want to specialise in finance, said Stéphane Dubreuille, Ph.D, CFA, Professor of Finance at RMS, who runs the CFA® programme.
Whatever their background, RMS IMBA participants planning to work in the Finance sector have a unique opportunity to pursue two world-recognised designations simultaneously, the CFA and the MBA.
The CFA designation offers leading recognised expertise in the global investment industry. CFA holders will gain access to a broad range of careers in financial analysis, portfolio management, sales and as wealth advisors in prestigious investment banks.
